We are seeking an experienced Engagement Manager to implement Merced Systems’ performance management products at customer sites. This is a consulting role which involves direct interaction with customers to implement creative solutions using performance management best practices. Merced Engagement Managers own the customer relationship and are accountable for the success of the projects they manage. They will lead the customer and a team of Merced Business Analysts and Integration Engineers through the full implementation lifecycle. Ideal candidates must have demonstrated the ability to understand customers` business goals, translate those goals into a software deployment project, proactively and responsively manage customers` needs, and lead and manage implementation teams.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the Merced sales teams to understand customer needs, identify appropriate solutions and develop detailed Statements of Work and project plans
- Work with customers to define project goals and build detailed project plans
- Lead internal teams of business analysts and integration engineers
- Manage deployment projects and communicate with customers on project status
- Work with customers to implement software enhancements and additional functionality
- Ensure customer satisfaction with Merced software, services and project teams
- Become trusted business advisor to customers and ensure that they derive maximum business benefit from Merced software
- Up to 25% travel will be required
Required Skills/Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience leading software implementation teams, ideally involving reporting and analysis functionality
- Ability to lead teams and manage people
- Ability to manage complex projects
- Ability to form strong customer relationships
- Ability to span business and technical issues
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure in a highly dynamic environment
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Bachelor`s degree in a technical field (or equivalent), MBA preferred
- Strong business orientation
- Working knowledge of SQL and/or data management, data mapping or data modeling
- Experience with reporting or database applications
Valuable skills:
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Business Objects, Cognos)
- Nice to have technical skills: XML, HTML, ETL tool experience, web architecture understanding
- Management consulting experience
- Operations management experience
